No. Essence Lab blends are our own compositions, built around scent profiles and note structures that are widely loved. We are an independent Sri Lankan brand with no affiliation to any designer fragrance house, and we do not sell counterfeit product. What you are buying is our interpretation of a style, at Extrait de Parfum concentration.

No, and be sceptical of anyone who promises that. Ours are built to sit in the same character — the same broad note structure and mood — but they are different compositions, and skin chemistry changes everything anyway. Most customers say the resemblance is closest in the dry-down, after the first thirty minutes.

It is the strongest fragrance grade. An Eau de Toilette is roughly 10% fragrance oil; an Eau de Parfum 15–20%; an Extrait 20–40%. We blend at 30%. Practically, that means fewer sprays, slower development and much longer wear.

Typically 8–12 hours, with base notes lingering on clothing into the next day. This varies with skin type, humidity and where you spray. Dry skin holds fragrance less well — spraying onto moisturised skin makes a noticeable difference.

Two. At 30% concentration, more than three is genuinely too much in a Sri Lankan climate, and over-spraying is the most common reason people find a fragrance overpowering.

Noir Amber and Red Amber are unisex — they are warm, ambery compositions that work on anyone. Azure Drift leans masculine but plenty of women wear it. Fragrance categories by gender are largely a marketing convention; wear whatever smells right on you.

Yes, island-wide. You pay the courier in cash when the parcel arrives. There is no extra charge for cash on delivery.

Yes. Choose bank transfer at checkout and you will see our account details along with your order number to use as the reference. Upload the deposit slip at checkout or afterwards from your order page. Bank transfer orders are dispatched the same working day once the slip is verified.

No — you can check out as a guest. An account is useful if you want to track orders, reorder quickly, or have your reviews marked as verified purchases.

They apply automatically in the cart based on how many bottles you buy — no code needed. Sizes can be mixed; the discount counts bottles, not millilitres. Promo codes apply on top of the bundle saving.

Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara: 1–2 working days. Everywhere else on the island: 2–4 working days. Orders placed after 3pm are processed the next working day.

Rs 350 to Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara; Rs 450 to the rest of the island. Free on orders over Rs 10,000.

Use the Track Order page with your order number and the phone number you ordered with. We also send a courier tracking number by WhatsApp once your parcel is collected.

Not through the website yet. Message us on WhatsApp with your location and we will quote you directly — we have sent parcels to the Middle East and Australia.

Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right — usually an exchange for a different blend, or a refund on an unopened bottle. We would rather do that than have you wearing something you dislike. 10ml sizes exist precisely so this happens rarely.

Send us a photo on WhatsApp the day it arrives and we will replace it at our cost, including the return.

Kept away from sunlight and heat — in the box, not on a windowsill — a blend holds its character for several years. Amber-heavy compositions like ours often improve in the first few months.

The 10ml travel size at Rs 1,950 is our sample size, and it is roughly 100 sprays. We do not do free samples — at extrait concentration the materials are too costly for that to be sustainable.
